ROLLER SHUTTER OPERATORS
Link Controls offer a comprehensive range of operators and controls specifically designed for rolling doors. The rolling door has been made for many years and despite the fact it does not have the insulation properties of other products remains very popular in providing a low cost secure access solution.

Integral to the design of the door, is the decision by the manufacturer as to whether the door will have a spring fitted to the barrel.

A sprung barrel assists the lift of the door and generally enables a smaller door operator to be used. An un-sprung barrel is easier to produce and lighter reducing the fixing time.

For sprung shutters the Foot and Flange mounted CDO range of operators are the most popular, using a drive chain or gear set to transmit the power to the barrel.

For un-sprung doors we can offer the MDF range which has an integral safety gear, or a suitably rated foot or flange mounted operator together with a separate safety brake.

Our range offers door operators with powers from 0.37Kw to 4.0kw as standard, and we can assemble door operators to larger powers or specific requirements where necessary. All operators have are provided with the following standard features:

Gear driven limit switches.
Integral thermal motor protection.
IP 54 Environmental protection.
Safety interlocks for manual operation.
High starting torque industrial duty motors.
Phosphor bronze worm wheel.

In the event of mains power failure a manual override is provided to raise the shutter, this can be achieved with a hand crank, high level or floor level hand chain.
